Granny’s Place books and post photos are written or created by A. L. (Amy) Hartmann. Amy began her love for writing as a young 6 year old child, when she wrote her first story, A Bear Ate My Food. Working as a consultant in the software industry for 40+ years, as well as other non-profits (including the C.A.S.A. program), writing has been a career staple. During her season of motherhood, creating and writing stories for her family became a passionate hobby to keep her mind active during the long nights caring for her young children. A suddenly opportunity in February 2024 gave her time to re-focus on the stories she began in the early 1990s. Many were inspired by her family’s beloved Aunt Margie and the imaginary adventures Amy has created and shared at Granny’s Place.
Amy loves to create funny stories for kids of all ages. Come meet our friends and fall in love with the South Georgia coastline. Other writings by Amy Hartmann may be viewed at http://www.notamatteroftalk.com.
